The Church of St Mary

I'm doing a history poster for St Mary's at the moment and found out that this arch is made of stone from an early12th century chapel that stood on the site.

Pity about the 21st century pink paint!

The earliest map I've found so far

John Ogilby’s The Continuation of the Road from York to West Chester published in 1675

Domesday book

I've been wondering who worked the land if Beeston had no households in the Domesday entry  and wondering if it was the villagers from Hunslet or Middleton. Though Middleton was larger, Bestone and Hunslet had the same Lords - Morfari and Thorsten in 1066. And, although I don't know what it means they had the same  'Head of Manor' too: Beeston I.
